Rhoni
It’s
with a mother’s pride
I write
these thoughts to you
Remembering
little things you’ve done
When
you were only two.
Three
was your age of discovery
Curious
it would seem
The
age of four, it was open doors
At five
you began to dream.
With
electric cords for microphones
You
sang me your first song,
You
showed you were growing up
And
it wasn’t taking long.
At the age of six, you became a priss
As little girls will be
At seven you found God
And became my source of pride.
As you went off to Sunday school
I felt such love inside
When you were nine I was just in time
To catch a glimpse or two
Of you fussing in a mirror
As girls will often do.
And today dear, you were ten
I wonder what new things that that will bring.
And though I sit here wondering
There is one thing I know for sure
That each and every day
I only love you more.
Happy Birthday
Love Mom
