Keeper of My Heart

 

Many many years ago

God gave you a job to do

He made you the keeper of my heart

For no one else would do

 

He knew my heart was tender

Had its share of damage along the way

So He made His choice so wisely

Someone who would always stay

 

It would take a special someone

To guard what God holds dear

The heart of His child

Protecting it from fear

 

So He called you, David

For this monumental task

He knew you were that special one
