God created mothers

Especially for mankind

Someone sweet and gentle

Was His great design.

 

Patient and so saintly

A heart that’s filled with love

This very special endowment

From the Father up above.

 

With an endless understanding

That withstands the strongest blow

She kneels in the night hours

To bless her children’s souls.

 

Yes, when God created mothers

He did a wondrous thing

For you know that she’s an angel

Just waiting for her wings.

 

He endowed her with great wisdom

That confounds the greatest minds

The courage of a lion

A rock in troubled times.

 

She’s a lady with a smile

That lights your darkest day

Always with encouragement
