Father’s Day

That special time of year,

When all your children can tell you

Just how much they hold you dear.

 

But Dad you know, it’s a feeling

That lasts a whole year through,

Just a special thank you

From a grateful heart that’s true.

 

To express a joyful feeling

That brings a warmth from within,

It’s not just because you’re Father

But because you’re also friend.

 

A father is so many things

\the list could grow so long,

How do you honor one

Who’s so loving and so strong.

 

The one who taught us wisdom

And moral values too;

The one who stood beside us

And carefully guided too.

 

So we’ll just say we love you, Dad

We hope that will suffice,

We’ll just say ‘Thank you’

For sharing in our lives.
